Where are you scrolling off to? We’re sure it’s somewhere pretty amazing. But before you go, can we show you how our women’s dresses are going places, too? Like to our most glam evening outings in white lace and luxe velvet. And to our laziest weekend brunches in boho long sleeves and legging-ready hemlines. And all with one quick zip.
When creating our women’s dresses, we knew we needed frocks that could follow us as we follow our bliss – down tree-lined paths and past the day’s second (or third) latte. Dresses that transition summer to fall, real life to road trips and back again. So we added bohemian boot-friendly maxi dresses , wear-everywhere embroidered styles and cute, easy-to-pair prints. Every occasion was considered. We dreamt up sexy lace dresses for starlit strolls. Sampled the softest fabrics for cozy at-home hangs. And thought of a million incarnations of the perfect boho dress – should we ever get pulled on stage at a summer music festival, of course.
We wanted dresses as freeing in spirit as they are in form. With styling possibilities from boho to minimalist to edgy. Which about brings us here. And you on your way. To whatever spectacular plans you’ve got going on today.

There is nothing more inspiring (or flattering) for me than hearing from you, the readers and followers of Chic Vintage Brides . Whether it is a comment on a post, a message through Facebook , a quick hello, a thank-you or to ask for my help, it never fails to make me smile! And it was a reader’s request that inspired today’s post. After reading my New Year’s Snippets, Whispers & Ribbons outlining my aims and aspirations for 2013 , which included my promise for more fashion, the lovely Tanya left a request for a bridesmaids post that is so on trend at the moment, and could well be the answer to your prayers!
Tanya’s comment read “… my four maids live in three states, and one may be pregnant! So I am pretty keen on them just getting their own dresses that they actually like! I’m trying to come up with a colour palette for a summer wedding that doesn’t rely on each dress being a very specific colour/shade.” There must be so many brides out there facing a similar dilemma, so this post is for you lovelies! Mismatched bridesmaids dresses are the perfect solution for any bride trying to arrange a wedding with bridesmaids in different states, counties, countries or even continents! So how is it best to do mismatched? There are so many options, all as absolutely gorgeous as each other, it just depends on your wedding – and your bridesmaids style!
For more traditional and modern bridesmaids dresses, brands such as Dessy , Donna Morgan and Two Birds create styles to suit every bridesmaid in a rainbow of colours!
Or for a look that is cohesive as well as unique, create outfits as individual as your bridesmaids with mismatched accessories…..
Following on from my earlier posts on the perfect little (and long) black bridesmaids dresses and ivory bridesmaids dresses (still some of CVB’s most popular) what are your thoughts on mismatched bridesmaids dresses? I love that all rules for bridesmaids dresses have been thrown out of the window!
Wow, thanks so much for dedicating a whole post to my question!!! Fantastic inspiration. Right now, I am thinking of going with a Rose Gold palette: moss, blush, rose and gold, complimentary colours and complimentary styles but not matching x
I am struggling so much finding dresses for my 2 friends for my August wedding. I want something boho and chic. Contrasting I know. I like Black and Tan, maybe black lace over tan. But both are plus size and very difficult to fit. One is 5’2 and a size 20/22 the other is 6’1 and a size 24ish. And everything I find on Pinterest is to a link long sold out. HELP
I can only imagine how difficult it must be trying to find the perfect bridesmaid dress to suit all of your bridesmaids (it makes me glad I decided not to have any bridesmaids on our day :)) and I think the current trend for mismatched bridesmaids could be the answer! I couldn’t find any dresses that were boho and chic in black and tan, BUT I did find these rather lovely dresses on Modcloth which might be perfect http://www.modcloth.com/shop/dresses/esteemed-elegance-a-line-dress-in-taupe and http://www.modcloth.com/shop/dresses/stately-satisfaction-lace-dress-in-noir – you could either choose one, or go for both and have one bridesmaid in each
